Is just me or is there always that Facebook acquaintance who keeps updating their statuses in journal entry style. Hello Facebook world! Here’s my entire life’s emotional roller coaster on display. No, the rest of us do not want to hear about how you broke up with you boyfriend for the third time.
When I get home from work or class and go on Facebook hoping for some mindless social interaction via the web, I am not looking to feel bad for you and your issues. Well…if I come across your whimpering posts, I may giggle at your pathetic life–is that mean? I don’t really mean to be mean. but dramatic people are amusing.
To all those whiny people out there. To all the folks who moan about how “life sucks”. To all you people who try to convince the internet world that you “hate people”.
No, you don’t.
You want them to feel bad for you and how much your “life sucks” and how your anger is just breaking you apart inside and all that silly crap. Since you do actually want people to pity you, clearly you care what people think about you. This leads me to the conclusion that, no, you don’t “hate people”.
If you plan on being so dramatic all the time, it might do you well to not take yourself to seriously. I will admit. I am a bit of a drama queen. It’s quite fun sometimes. But having said that, I can usually laugh at myself.
